Born in Adelaide, Australia in 1980 and currently residing in Sydney, Jessie always leaned towards the creative side of life.
She grew up loving drawing, Painting and designing clothes and after high school went on to complete her BA in Fine arts where she fell in love with printmaking and exploring photographic etchings as well as life drawing and painting.
She has since gone on to produce paintings, screen-prints, a T shirt label and recently photography as well as creating a new label ‘Dress for the Empress’ who we also feature here on the Heavens Rejects site.
She enjoys exploring colour in her paintings and is inspired by the lowbrow art movement.
She sites artists and photographers such as Mark Ryden, Sylvia Ji, Bill Henson, Diane Arbus as some of her inspirations and graffiti artists such as Miss Van and Fafi.
She has recently found a new passion in analogue photography using toy cameras, black & white and expired film to achieve results that evoke the viewer.
